Kim Knox Beckius is a freelance writer, book author and photographer who has had a passion for fall since childhood days spent jumping in piles of crunchy leaves with her little brother.

Experience:

A native of New York's Hudson Valley who now calls New England home, Kim has always cherished the change of seasons, particularly the colorful transition that occurs in the Northeast each fall. During her career as a reporter, teacher, publicist and travel writer, she has had many opportunities to share her love for autumn. She has produced harvest festivals, written books about scenic driving in New England and New York State and, since 2000, has mailed free fall leaves to school children and foliage fans across the U.S. on request.

Education:

Kim holds a Master's degree in education from the State University of New York at New Paltz and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in history and public relations from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) and the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA).

From :

I love autumn, and I'm blessed to live in a region that is renowned for its spectacular annual foliage displays. Autumn is a season that reminds us that nothing is permanent, and as daylight hours wane and temperatures cool, it is a call to set aside a bit of time each day for fall fun. Now that my daughter is nearly four, I have an energetic and inquisitive sidekick for all of my fall adventures. I'm looking forward to sharing the best of this beautiful harvest season with you.
